UTRECHT -- The Netherlands Film Festival has lined up sponsorship from Euro Internet outfit Tiscali, the Dutch Public Broadcasting system and regional newspaper owner Utrechts Nieuwsblad/Amersfoortse Courant.

Tiscali also will sponsor the audience award one of 16 Golden Calf kudos for film and TV.

Fest will unspool in Utrecht Sept. 22-Oct. 1; last year's edition drew more than 100,000 visitors and 1,500 professionals from around the globe.

Prolific Dutch lenser and stripier Jean van de Velde has been named guest of the year and will appear at several events during the test, present a master class on scriptwriting and a retrospective of some 20 films and TV series he has scripted and/or directed, including "All Stars."

Van de Velde's latest pic, "Floris," is set to bow in December.
