Bergeron, Tor Harald Percival (b. Godstone, England, 15 August 1891; d. 13 June 1977, Stockholm) Swedish meteorologist, particularly noted for his work in cloud physics. He was a student of and collaborated with Vilhelm Bjerknes. He introduced the concept of air masses in 1928, studied frontal theory and the influence of upper-atmospheric processes on climate, and proposed the theory of precipitation later known as the Bergeron process
