John Edward Parsons Named Managing Director of Herley's UK Subsidiary, EWsT.

LANCASTER, Pa., Nov. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Herley Industries, Inc. announced today that John Edward Parsons has joined EW Simulation Technology Limited (EWsT) as Managing Director. EWsT is a UK Company wholly owned by Herley Industries, Inc. located in Farnborough, UK. EWsT designs, engineers and manufactures Radar Threat and Electronic Countermeasures Simulation Systems which are used in EW training and test and evaluation applications.

John brings a wealth of closely-related experience to Herley, having over 25 years in the defense and electronics industry, ranging from microwave test and calibration to research and development to business management.

John most recently was Technical Director and then Managing Director at ESL Ltd. With John Parsons managing the Company, Dr. Robert Andrews, EWsT's former Managing Director, will be free to focus on international marketing of EWsT's products in his role as Marketing Director. Mr. Parsons has earned a C&GLI full technological certificate with distinction in Radio and Telecommunications, then a BSc (Honours) degree with the Open University in Mathematics, Mechatronics and Artificial Intelligence. He is a Chartered Engineer, Fellow of the Institute of Engineering Technology, Member of the Institute of Directors, and chairman of the Electro-Optic and Infra Red special interest group within the UK MoD EW Tower of Excellence.
